Just a little background about myself. I started collecting knives at a very early age, if I can remember was about 11 yrs. old back in the early 80’s. I picked up a magazine which had an ad for the Edge Co. (which is now out of business) and subscribed to their catalog. That was my first piece of mail and once I opened that magazine I was hooked !!! All my money I would save up would go towards buying knives, throwing stars, nunchucks etc. I was fascinated with the ninja warrior and Bruce Lee. Literally back in the day you could turn on the t.v. and one of the channels had Bruce Lee on it. So I built up a wide variety of weapons. Mind you this company would sell me this without my parents’ permission (not like I needed it) but I would send cash and low and behold my order was in the mail ! I used to collect a lot of things as kid but the knives were the cherry ! As I got older the collection dwindled down and other things became more important, like girls and sports. Fast forward to now and what do I see on t.v. yep you guessed it “Forged in Fire” Oh damn I was hooked again ! Went out and built a homemade forge. Got everything I needed to start making and building my own knives and handles. So all I needed was a catchy logo and name. Well one of my friends made me an LSU Spartan head which hangs in my shop, you might have noticed it in my videos. So looking at it I knew I wanted to incorporate it somehow into the logo. Came up what you see now so all I needed now was a name. Well already had the first part “Spartans” and my favorite magazine was the Edge Co. Light bulb goes off and Spartans Edge is formed. So there you have it ! I might not be the fastest at making knives or the best at it but I do take pride in what I produce. I want to thank the ones who take the time an watch my video’s and encourage me to get better at my craft. Hopefully one day you will see me on T.V. again. This time on Forged In Fire.
